Setting Intentions

Mind Set

A great way of creating a positive mind-set is to develop the habit of Setting Intentions.

We all have internal mind chatter going on in our heads 24 hours a day. (Yes, even when we are asleep, although at a sub conscious level…………..which is another story altogether!!)

That mind chatter, our thoughts, creates our reality. So to harness a positive intent around our actions is a step towards achieving the results we want in our life.

To start the new habit of Setting Intentions, it has to be done at a conscious level, (thinking about it) however if you practise it enough, it’s becomes part of your mind-set. The actual mind space it takes to set the intention also can take the place of any negative thoughts that have the potential to become blocks, which could sabotage your progress.

Our language (the words we use), play an important part in creating what we want, so start using the phrases…………………

“I intend to…..”
“My intention is to…………..”
“My intentions are………..”

This sets the scene for the results you want.

Think of it like this…

Visualise                      Vocalise                          Viral

Visualise……………………….see the result in your mind’s eye, in detail, know why you want it and how it’ll benefit you and others. Close your eyes and imagine what it looks like.
Vocalise…………………………..speak it out loud, either to yourself or others. Talk to friends, family, business colleagues.

Viral……………………………..Share it, write it down, even if it’s in your diary or start a journal listing your intentions, send it out.

Of course, this is the same as setting goals, on a daily basis. When you set those intentions you are more likely to take the action needed to make things happen.
