  1. Make the first move to connect to the people you want to feel connected to, don’t always wait for them.
  2. Appreciate the people who are there, for their positive traits rather than focussing on their negative traits.
  3. Look around for like minded people (hobbies, interests etc) and make an effort to forge relationships with them.
  4. Be prepared to step outside your comfort zone.
