The only time I will allow myself to feel………………..Offended, is when my response is an emotional knee jerk reaction, rather than a neutral one.

Practical Tips

  1. If you feel Offended, it’s pushed one of your buttons, (touched one of your Values) look to see if there is any truth in the offending remark, look from above your emotions.
  2. The comment might be more about them than you, they may be projecting their ‘stuff’ onto you.
  3. Deal and respond from a neutral position, as opposed to an emotional knee jerk reaction. You can choose whether to take offence or not.
