124 O2 Negative Emotion – Overwhelmed

Buried or drowning beneath a huge mass of obligations or tasks.

Practical Tips

  1. Take a break, even if only for a few minutes and come back refreshed.
  2. Chunk down and address each task individually.
  3. Focus on the job in hand in the moment until completion, rather than flitting and leaving a trail of unfinished tasks.
  4. Delegate if possible.
  5. Decide to ‘date’ anything that can be put in the diary.
  6. ‘Dump’ anything that isn’t of importance.
  7. Step back and enjoy your situation!

Beliefs and Affirmations

Recognising the state of being Overwhelmed, allows me to choose what I need to drop or delegate.

The only time that I will allow myself to feel…..Overwhelmed by my workload is when I do not list, prioritise and establish a reasonable amount of time to complete the activities.
The only time I will feel…..Overwhelm in my life is when I can’t think of a positive way to progress.
The only time I will allow myself to feel…..Overwhelmed, is when I haven’t asked for help or support.
