- Cynicism is borne of distrust, so can be felt as an alarm bell to bring caution to our attention.
- Cynicism within a relationship can be destructive if taken in a negative way, it can be delivered light-heartedly but received as an insult.
- Emotional damage can be caused to vulnerable people, whether it was meant to or not e.g. degrading others, reducing their self-belief and confidence etc.
